About Me

Krista is an east coast girl, born and raised. As a child, she channeled her creative side, writing and illustrating a collection of short stories--all while in between her busy life on the playground. Somewhere along the way, Krista abandoned her creative writing skills to focus on her innate technical writing abilities, leading her to business school where she earned her MBA. After years of writing business plans, proposals and quarterly reports, Krista escaped the shrewdness of corporate America to become a college instructor of business management.

In 2011, seizing a rare opportunity to study abroad, Krista packed up her Boston studio apartment and moved to Germany. Upon quickly learning that becoming a beer connoisseur and avid soccer fan doesn’t pay the bills, Krista instead focused her time on studying the German language and earning her certificate to teach English as a foreign language, all while applying her technical writing skills to start a career as a freelance writer.

Krista started her blog in 2012, followed shortly thereafter by contributing her writing to the Yahoo! network. Since then, Krista has combined her unique blend of business, education and technical acumen to perform countless services as a freelance writer. She has written for college newsletters, various websites, small business correspondence and educators.

Krista currently resides in the Frankfurt area, loves to lift heavy (she can proudly squat 135lbs) and enjoys running with the hope of completing her first marathon in 2013.
